Hello everyone,
We’re excited to announce the release of Astra v4.11.8 – a user-focused update that brings greater flexibility, accessibility enhancements, and key bug fixes to ensure a seamless experience while building your website.
This release reinforces our commitment to delivering a fast, accessible, and intuitive WordPress theme that adapts to both developers and everyday users.
What’s New ?
- Custom SVG Support in Social Icons – You can now use your own SVG code in the Social Icons widget, giving you more design control and customization flexibility.
What’s Improved ?
- Accessible Off-Canvas Navigation – We’ve improved keyboard navigation for the off-canvas menu by managing focus correctly and supporting the ESC key to close the panel. This brings us closer to full WCAG 2.1 compliance and a better experience for all users.
What’s Fixed?
- WooCommerce Mini Cart Alignment – Fixed an issue where the item count in the mini cart was misaligned, ensuring cleaner layouts.
- Customizer Taxonomy SVG Display – Resolved a bug where the remove icon for taxonomy options was showing raw SVG HTML instead of the intended icon in the Customizer.
- Dropdown Target Link Behavior – Fixed an issue where clicking on the “Dropdown Target Link” option closed the menu instead of opening its submenu.
- Cart Markup Visibility in Customizer – Prevented unintended cart HTML from displaying inside the Customizer preview before the footer area.
We recommend updating to Astra 4.11.8 to enjoy these enhancements and maintain the best performance, accessibility, and compatibility for your WordPress site.
As always, if you have any questions or need assistance, our support team is here and happy to help!
Best,
Team Astra
